The song is about god. The embrace is not a physical embrace like a hug. It is an embrace of love and grace that god gives to those that accept him with their hearts. "send me through the fire, make me pure again " That sounds to me like he is asking god for forgivness, to wash away his sins and give him a clean slate. "everything i am * i give it all to You in Your arms i wait * i lay down my life " The last part sounds alot like the prayer you give when you turn your entire life over to god and accept him as the ultimate in your life. |

It is a love song to God man. When you truely have that relationship with christ you love him with all your heart more then anything else in life. "i can feel this river rising, moving up my back " That line describes to me the feeling of God's love and the holy spirit entering his life. It is an experience like no other. |
