| You guys were really hitting this in the beging (not to say the later opions were wrong) but what you were saying about the fear that the greatest thing in your life might come to an end, me and my girl just had a talk about how we felt about that right before i opened the album and started listening, when it got to Echo, i just broke down, from the line "...it reminded me that your so worth the fight..." to the end i was crying, and im a "tough guy" or w/e so thats hard to do, i thank incubus for this song... | |

Ok this post is really off from the one im responding to, but Hangingtonothing, this song is by no means about a girl. im gonna make some points here: 1.Not everysong with a meaning has to be about stupid little relationships, it can be deeper. 2.This song is most likely tied into things from the book, i havnet got to finish it yet, but there are alot of refrences that can be kinda hard to notice, but they are ther. and the biggest one of all 3.THRICE IS NOT FING EMO, YOU ARE AN IDIOT IF YOU SAY THEY ARE, EMO IS SOMEPOINTLESS SHALLOW MUSIC LIKE STORY OF THE YEAR, IM NOT COMMENTING ON THEIR MUSICAL TALLENT, BUT COMEON WRITE A SONG ABOUT SOMETHING MORE THAN HOW MUCH TEEN LIFE SUCKS, AND HOW YOUR GIRL LEFT YOU OK? |

Yea, riley is the one whos non-christian, which is ironic seeing as how HE IS GOD ON THE DRUMS! But i think this song is about mans strugle against a greater power, "we shot the sun from the sky", kill what we dont wanna let control us "we dug the body up, and drank the golden blood, and light shone from our eyes, but it was not enough, for we still dream of DEICIDE" clearly, we took its power and still it was not enough, mankind simply cannot accept control, it has to be the higher power, thats our biggest problem, ohh and "i smile when i am alone, and shed a tear for the brass" it shows how we sin, with the hopes that we can just redeem ourselfs in the end, thats the thought that kills us, christian or not, you can realate to that. |
