and if Lil Wayne is such a douche bag, why is HE making all the money and you aren't?! I think he is super creative and doesn't put the same stuff out there every album. I do concede that this isn't his BEST song, but he is WAAAAY better than 95% of other rappers, or artists for that matter, that are out there. |

| First of all, I LOVE the beat. And I LOVE the music video. Sure he has "deeper" and more "meaningful" songs, but I'm not gonna lie, I have this song stuck in my head all the time. I can't NOT like it. It's so catchy. I think that this is one of those songs that needn't be analyzed, it's just out there. | |

in the video, natalie is wearing white and she's in the middle of the other two girlss and when it gets to the chorous she tries to stand up but they pull her down.. like they are trying to calm her from retaliating? that's what i gather anyways. and with the paint and stuff all over their dress? they had a pretty set in stone image pre-bush comment, but after making the comment (or getting their hands dirty.. (with the paint)) they kind of settled into who they really are and what they really stand for. |

i feel totally bad for what DC had to go through, granted there were more apporpriate means of expressing your opinion. but it's still makes me sad that someone would send death threats to another person, just for speaking their mind, regardless of fame. i saw Shut up and Sing and it's absolutely amazing. i just loveee this song, espically this part: I made my bed and I sleep like a baby With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’ It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger And how in the world can the words that I said Send somebody so over the edge That they’d write me a letter Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing Or my life will be over i like how natalie (mostly) went thru all this turmoil and she is totally comfortable with it. she doesn't hate as much as some hate her. |

i love this song. it chokes me up everytime i hear it. the story line overall just breaks my heart! i always listened to this song as the soldier does end up dying, although after reading some previous comments i can see how it cannot be assumed that he dies. i still think of it as the soldier dies.. it just breaks my heart all the more and makes me love it all the more. One Friday night at a football game The Lord's prayer said and the Anthem sang A man said folks would you bow your heads For a list of local Vietnam dead Crying all alone under the stands Was a piccolo player in the marching band And one name read and nobody really cared But a pretty little girl with a bow in her hair i LOVE the part where natalie gets all quiet "for the list of local vietnam dead". it just kind of hits you. and then i can totally picture a girl sitting there just crying her heart out. this song is different than their older stuff ("earl has to die".. for instance) and i like it. it is absolutely one of my most favorite songs ever! |

I love this song. It always helps me stay positive and not worry about the bad things or what went wrong. It just always makes me in a better mood. "Little darling I feel that ice is slowly melting" To me, this means that the problems are going away. Its my favorite part in the song. |
