i think those lines refer more to the female in the relationship as the way he controls her: He despises the fact she has a life outside of ‘them’ It drives him crazy to think she’s not insanely consumed with him Give her the guilt trip, and maybe she’ll quit livin’ To stay behind his prison walls and loose all individualism ...the way that he's keeping her from being herself is keeping her from flying free. he too is preventing himself from flying free by being so dependant on her and the relationship where he can't be happy without her. |

hey all, a lot of this was from memory so feel free to correct parts. anyhoo, this is one of my all time favourite sage songs, clearly about the marriage that went wrong that's referenced in much of his work. some of the symbolism i don't quite get but overall it's just an amazing song. if you can't find it you can get it off sage's website. |

i believe the end of those lines may be about how he gets too emotionally attached to his songs while performing them live? i'm not too sure about some things in this song but the chorus is supposed to be "The force of my love was strong the sea lion laying down long the song in the air why should singer care when singer can be among song" |

| k-os – Crabbuckit Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i find that k-os' music is starting to be recognized by both those who enjoy music for catchy beats as well as those who seek music or hip-hop with a conscience. one cannot judge a song solely because it may be overplayed on the radio (to those not from Canada, this song has recieved massive airplay, not sure about the states). though this is by no meanins k's greatest song, it describes his situation as moving up in the music business while contrasting his advancement of hip-hop with those mainstream bling artists who are stuck like crabs in buckets making music about the same old things. | |
