This is definitely my favorite song on the whole cd. I first heard this song on Vampire Diaries and it was playing during a scene with a female vampire remembering her human love. So as a result I see the song meaning a little differently, especially the chorus. The air she literally can't breathe as a vampire that he still does as a human. In the end she knows she is tearing his world apart with her secrets and what she is so she has to move on and she is left with the hope that she will be human again someday. |

I love this song, I could probably listen to it all day if I didn't stop myself. To me I don't get a long distance relationship or anything like that, I think they are together but I think they are stuck. I always think of a gay couple when I hear this song. Maybe one of them is out and they feel free to be out with it and the other is not. So they are together and at the same time they are not. The way people think about them has changed so the walls are down but there are still people who would see them apart, who don't approve or feel the need to say something. |

I heard this song on Grey's and have come to like a lot more of Greg Laswell as a result. I couldn't believe that there were no lyrics for this song. This song was perfect for George and Izzie. I think he is saying that he is going to do what he wants to do, nothing is going to hold him back and whatever happens, happens. |

I think the meaning is very clear, she's so caught up in him she would go wherever he went knowing that at the end of the day he is not going to stay. She is willing to wait around for the time to be right but she knows deep down that they are just two different kinds of people and the time will probably never be right but she will keep waiting. It reminds me of Corner Of Your Heart by Ingrid Michaelson as well as Maybe by Kelly Clarkson. There is always one guy that you are willing to go back to or wait around for no matter how many times he leaves you alone. |

I does sound like that, so I can understand why it doesn't really flow logically. I think she is dreaming of what could have been hence this is just a dream. The first verse is what she expected and now what she dreamed her wedding would be and it sounds like she got the news on her wedding day and the following verses are the funeral for her fiance. I think the song is kind of being misinterpreted. The first verse:
When I first met you I knew you were the one
Till you took me home and I met her
She had your boxers on
She was listening to your song
And I thought right then that you had everything
The guys girlfriend met him and fell in love with him and then she met his girl friend who he was close with and she was jealous, maybe felt like she wasn't needed. The chorus is the friend complaining that you can't be friends with guys with girlfriends because the girlfriend is always jealous and making you out to be a bad guy. And in the end the girl friend wouldn't be friends with the guy because of his jealous girlfriend and she knows she is better than being accused all the time of trying to steal him away.
I don't know why some people see this as being cocky, I think it's just knowing what you can tolerate from a friend and from jealous people. |

This is a great song. I think this song is more about her reflecting on an old boyfriend and how she wanted to hear all those beautiful things in the chorus but knowing deep down that they were all lies. |
