Marrissey, I'm with you in that I hate religious metaphor. But I think you've got something there. Could the chorus, "Like drinking poison and eating glass," be referring to the rituals of Catholicism? drinking poison = drinking blood (wine); eating glass = eating the flesh (wafer) |
