There's also a misfits song called "helena". I thought this was a cover. I dunno, I've only heard MCR's version! Probably wrong. nocode speaks the truth. I mean, good songs (sometimes) but they're totally cliched and commercialised. Old stuff like "Early Sunsets...." is genius tho. Well, that's my two cents. mmm... hunny. |

Unreleased, here's the problem. "What It Is To Burn" was an awesomely good album in some ways eg. tons of catchy tunes, soaring choruses etc. But if Finch had released another, more similar album, then it would have been a very cynical, money-driven thing to do. By slating the band as acting "as if they were never pop-punk", you're suggesting that changing is a bad thing. When they do it like this, it ain't! If you like Finch, just listen to the new album more. It gets better every time. If you want to listen to the old album, it ain't goin' anywhere! Oh, and Insomniatic is right. "The Casket Of Roderic Usher" sucks a bit on CD. It's great live, though. I saw Finch on the first night of their UK tour supported by Million Dead. They closed with "What It Is To Burn". Now that is a show! |
