"fold the corners, break the silence". what it could mean is that when you ruin the perfection (lets say, a square) by foldin the corners you make it imperfect, and thus you are breaking the silence!
but its supposed to be the other way around- when you break the silence, then it becomes imperfect. but i think he's trying to say no matter what you do, even if you bite your tongue, you can't be perfect. |

this song and all ours songs are so alive and fill you entirely with the music. i dont know why Ours is so little known, even in the underground scene. we need to spread the word!
also about this song, the very end when it stops and then he comes back in singing so hard- it gives me chills. def one of my favorite parts on the album |

the song is very cryptic, but i think the meaning came more into focus when you like at the title, "trailer park jesus". i think its about someone who is confused about their life and wants to get out of the hell-hole they're living in. they want to "jump ship" and blow everything up. and then the last stanza he kind of has a revelation and he doesnt want to become the man he's talking about. am i making any sense? |
