You know what I think. I think Coutney killed him, indirectly. First she wanted a baby, so Kurt wouldn't leave her, and later she wanted to divorce. She knew about his parents divorce and how much it hurted him. Actually, his whole life and the music are influenced by it. I also think she used him for the success of her own carreer. i know she met him a long time before nirvana was so big, but WHEN it was, she took advantage of it. She got Frances in the same time when Nirvana went famous... I know Kurt was depressed his whole life and also believe it was suicide, but it was Courtney who made him even more depressed by getting a child and than telling him she wanted to divorce. I know he had a lot of trouble, also whit drugs and his stomach, and i believe he shot himself trough the head, but after all, it was Courtney who made him a really unhappy person. So what I think is that she did not shot him, but indirectly she is a murder. |

I don't believe the children-whit-cancer-theory. First of all, Kurt lied a lot to the press and everything. I think its about Courrtney Love, but i understand he didn't tell it the press. Would you tell it to the whole world if you had trouble whit your partner? I don't think so... This is what i think the song means 'She eyes me like a pisces when I am weak.' I think Kurt didnt want to have a child because he thought he could never be a good father, so Courtney got pregnant when he was weak. She knew he would stay with her when the baby was born, because he didnt want his to do to child the same as his parents did, you know, divorce. "I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for a week" He used to love her, but later it changed, (is what I think) "I was drawn into your magnet tar pit trap." First he was in love, cause she was pretty (magnet) but later, when he was famous, she seemed to be maen and used him for her own success (like she was a tar pit inside) "I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn back" Not sure what that means... dont know the meaning of the chorus either... "Meat-eating orchids forgive no one just yet" Courtney loved orchids, as someone else here said, so this means to me that Courtney was mean (meat-eating) and she didnt forgive him his mistakes or whatever, i guess. "Cut myself on angel hair and baby's breath" I argee whit what also someone else said: He was so weak, he could even hurt himself on flowers as angels hair and baby's breath. "Broken hymen of your highness i'm left black" I think Courtney was very happy whan she got pregnant. Now she was sure Kurt wouldn't leave her. Kurt was not so happy (black) whit it, because he thougt he could never be a good father. "Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back" He was depressed and wanted to go back to utero. He was also obsessed by the female body, the periods, babys and all. I think this song isnt about children whit cancer at all, but it's only what I think, maybe I'm wrong. |
