| John Lennon – Love Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
"Love is free, free is love" John is obviously referring to free love, a common hippie/communist philosophy at the time. |

look through this and count biblical refrences - St Rollox Adieu - Flinging out the fish and the unleavened - Five thousand users fed today As you feed us Won't you lead us To be blessed - Be they Magdalene or virgin you've already been - theres all this biblical references, but then theres so much sin: Drink to the Devil, etc and near the end, a sort of admittal of sins: So I'm sorry if I ever resisted I never had a doubt you ever existed I only have a problem when people insist on Taking their hate and placing it on your name and at the very end: Walk among us If you judge us We're all damned christ coming back to earth at the end of the age to judge us. |

| Cake – Comfort Eagle Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
This song obviously refers to Cake's will for capatilists to come down and bite reality: "Take a bite of this apple, Mr. Corporate Events," Refers to a 'fall from grace' (i.e. Adam and Eve). The bible says that when someone ate fruit from the tree of knowledge they would see the world as God does (being omniescent). Cake wants big corporations to see the world as they do. "Take a walk through the jungle of cardboard shantees and tents," This again to Cake's want for corporations to see the world as it is. The rest of the song is a conversation, per se, between the big corporations ("We are..") and the real world ("He is..."). |
