this song is really good..a little annoying if listened to excessively, but still awesome. if anyone was wondering..an "Apple scruff" was one of the people who waited outside of apple records for the beatles to finish recording just to see them. George was thanking them for being there when no one else was. |

this is my favorite doors song..i think the meaning is a little deeper than drugs, though. i especially like the ending...its so 60's. it reminds me of some syd barrett stuff. |

how is this not a good song? alright, i'll admit its not very doors-y, but its one of the most catchy songs of all time! it doesnt make me think about how messed up the world is, but does that demean its value because it doesnt follow the pattern of all the other songs? anyway...how about an actual question about the meaning...what is the promise she made? i really cant think of anything unless its based on a personal experience of Jim's or something. |
