| & i fucking love brand new, they are amazing, i've been listening to them since 6th grade... no joke, and now i see these preps putting some random lyric in their profile going "oh em gee i am so effing emoxcore"... i'm still REALLY annoyed by it, cause they havent heard them from the start, they havent thought about the lyrics, they cant relate to them, they listen to the music to look cool... cause its the "next big thing". | |

music being entertaining isnt everything... some people look to music for the lyrics... because some people actually relate to the song... and sometimes vice versa... when people listen to just music for comforting... but i think brand new is amazingly talented, (long island representtttt), and theyre seriously good both ways, their music is so easy to relate to... their lyrics are amazing. i'm overusing way too many words, haha. & I hate how people have to put every single little thing into genres and subgenres... its just music, good or bad... thats all i need. people have made up new classes of people, judging by what type of music they listen to... now think about that... how stupid does that sound? its like "did you see those emo kids at that show!?" people cant BE emo... unless its used as a feeling. i hate how (in this case, guys) put on girls jeans all tight, where studded belts, get a lip piercing and there you have it, you're now scene. i really wish people would put an end to all these labels... i would understand 'rock' or 'pop'... but for the inbetween artists, why not just let the fans decide for themselves? the media puts way too much of an impact on what we listen to... or how we judge people. okayyyyy, this comment has gotten far enough, i hope i made a point somwhere. :\ its all mixed up but try to make sense out of it lol. |
