| Regina Spektor – Your Honor Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I love the opening lines of this song. It's the quirky Regina we've come to love with an awesome rock backup. "Pizzatarian" lol The prelude to this is cute too. |

| The Faint – Southern Belles in London Sing Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
When I first listened to it, I thought, like the rest of you guys, it was about a guy's girlfriend going on tour and coming home. But I wondered about this stanza: "a hundred feet above the landing there's a girl gliding down she's floating toward me now her sleeves are all stretching out and the jet is following behind wake up " Almost like she is an angel flying in front of the plane that is carrying her coffin. He thinks he sees her ghost, and tells himself to wake up. Reminded me of the old Irish song, "You'll take the high road, I'll take the low road, an' I'll be in Scotland afore ye." |

| Death Cab for Cutie – Death of an Interior Decorator Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I love the first stanza: "You were the mother of three girls so sweet That storm through your turnstile, and climbed to the street But after conception, your body lay cold Withered through Autumn then you found yourself old" Such great imagery, it conveys so much in just a few lines. Slightly disturbing to refer to a woman's womb as a turnstile, but I love it none the less. |

| Action Action – Don't Cut Your Fabric Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I was thinking about this song, and I got to thinking, what is a person's Fabric? It's the essence of who they are. Don't Cut your fabric to fit in. Be who you are. | |
| Action Action – Don't Cut Your Fabric Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| If you actualy give them a listen, you can't honestly say they suck. You might not like them, but they've got talent. | |
| Esthero – Indigo Boy Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I was hoping someone else would comment on this song. I think it might be referring to the myth/belief of "Indigo Children". Supposedly talented or gifted children, born to bring the world into a new age of understanding. And this Indigo Boy is being mistreated, not given the correct nurturing that he needs, not reaching his potential and being out casted. |

| Esthero – Half A World Away Lyrics | 21 years ago |

"You make me touch myself, you make me burn, and you call to me, but I am so alone, so lonley" This is one of my favorite songs. |
|
| Esthero – Heaven Sent Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I think it's about a woman and her boyfriend killing a woman together. Possibly "killing" the woman's former self, like the man has corrupted her, and now she hates who she used to be. "The taste was sweet and you delivered I didn't know I would feel so high Well, I guess we didn't have to kill her But don't feel so bad though" She's lost her innocence or inhibitions because of sex/passion with this man. |

| Esthero – Country Livin' (The World I Know) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I just love this song. You get the feeling that you're in a car driving along a moonlit country road. I love the slight crackling surface noise, and pulse that work perfectly with her wonderfuly clear voice. |

| Mandalay – Beautiful Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I love this song. It's about teaching someone to love again, and truly becoming intimate with another person. "You can depend/ On certainty /Count it out and weigh it up again/" You can depend on me, I'll be there for you. I love you but you should love yourself "do you know, you're beautiful" |

| Auf Der Maur – Followed the Waves Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I think this is the best song on her album. I like her sound, but I think she's got a bit of developing lyricaly to do. I'll look foreward to what she's coming up with next. | |
| Auf Der Maur – Lightning Is My Girl Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I forget how I first heard this song, but there was a part of me that loved it, and a part of me that hated it. I love the way she sounds, but the lyrics. They're just nagging or something. "Gonna let the lightning Tuck me into my bed Gonna let that man Let him into my head I’ll see you in my dreams" I like that part!... "Electrified and cherry red" "Cherry" just seems so out of place. For lyrics that are otherwise dark and haunting, where does cherry red, and cherry cola fit in? I love the imagry that she presents of a dark man that visits her in her dreams, but adding in cherry cola reminds me of song lyrics I wrote in Junior High. I really want to like it. I love her voice, but the lyrics... Maybe thats the point though, makes you uneasy, like crooked lines, or a pebble in your shoe... |
