I never really liked this song, but now that I've seen the lyrics I understand how deep this song actually is, and I'm starting to like it more and more. This is what my interpretation is for the gun thing: "I give away my gun when it's loaded." He knows he's guilty, and he should be 'punished'. He admits it, and knows he should get what he deserves. "if you don't shoot it how am i supposed to hold it?" he's wondering that, if he doesn't get 'punished' of blamed for what he did, how he'll live with it that he got away with it. then you can translate it in "if you don't blame me, then how am i suppose to live with the crime i commited?" That's what I think of it:-) |

I like this song! I think everyone feels like an outsider once in awhile. Specially in puberty in stuff lol...So I don't think this song is hard to understand:-). |

Omg, why hasn't anybody comment on this one? It's a nice classic, which has been covered couple off times! But no cover can tip with the original song, I like it:-). I think it's pretty obvious what this song it about. Some guy made a big mistake, but she's willing to forgive him, if he is willing to think about what he did... |
