Yes, my favorite song off of the new album as well. Yeah, they're simple lyrics but the simplicity is the beauty of it. It's absolutely amazing how Chris magnifies these simple sentences into a feeling so profound. Basically, she made something more obvious to him and made him realize that there is no better world than the one where he is with her. "What good is it to live With nothing left to give Forget and not forgive Not loving all you see" That is my favorite part of the song because he's describing that she makes him so happy and what good is his life without her. Things seem so much brighter with her. Ah I feel like I'm killing the song by trying to explain it. The feeling it gives me is wonderful. |

| This song describes the theory of no logic in love. He sings about wanting her back. He wants to start over. He had tried to find a logical meaning in their relationship; why things were the way they were; why love. He discovered that these are questions without answers. There is never any real logic in loving someone; no concrete reason. The feeling gives it away; the feeling they give you. You can't figure it out. Nothing said it better than his heart. Heart over logic. He realized there's no absolute answer. My favorite part is the beginning. He finally saw that he loved her and she was so lovely and he needed her and he wanted to know everything and he was wrong about ever trying to find those answers. It's a beautiful song. He sings it so well, too. | |

I really wish I could meet Coldplay. I just want to thank them because I never thought I would ever find someone who could explain what I think. It sings about how she never notices him or really listens to him because she can "see straight through" him. She is always the dominant in the relationship. He always seems to care for her more than she does for him. Yet he doesn't care because he still loves her. He will always love her no matter how much she loves him. He'll always be waiting for her until he decides, until it is painfully obvious that she doesn't see him at all. "On and on, from the moment I wake to the moment I sleep, I'll be there by your side. Just you try and stop me. I'll be waiting in line, just to see if you care" means so much to me because I've felt like that too many times. It seems like as much as she does not admire him, he will always be there for her, just you try and stop him. Gwyneth is a lucky gal. |

How do they do it? How does Chris Martin explain an abstract thought so incredibly well? It boggles my mind. We all want some sort of eternal peace; we all want some beautiful utopia where only our loved ones are aound and we all live happily. But somehow, we never really try for that. We always seem to hurt someone else; we always manage to be unhappy. No matter how many times we fail or hurt, we never do anything to stop. This may not apply to everyone else, but I have always had a fantasy of living in a cabin in the woods and the only people there are the people I know and love and care about. There's never any pain or misery because everything is perfect. "Oh but I don't have a soul to save. Yes and I sin every single day" my favorite line, although it's kind of sad. I don't really "have a soul to save" I don't really have a definite purpose. We could be better people. We could be so much better. But we never even try. It would be so much easier and we'd be so much happier but we don't even try. It's like we know we can change, yet we can't help but to stay the same. "We never change, do we? We never learn, do we?" We never really do. Great song. Kudos to Chris. |

Again, why can't I be so lucky as to be who Brandon's talking about? "You do something to me, that I can't explain" is my absolute favorite line because I can relate to it. I always feel some way and I could never tell you why. This is a very romantic song, be it for break-ups or just simply being apart from your lover. Ah, I think I might go insane trying to tell you how much this song means to me. |

Absolutely wonderful, yes? Brandon's voice is always amazing. This entire album has a soulful tone. I love it. The feeling from this melody is incredible. Truly an original song. "Oars free from their holes long ago." Mmm I'd hate to try and explain this feeling because it'll be ruined by my lack of the right words. "Two weeks without my lover, I'm in this boat alone, floating down a river named emotion"..."Maybe we could meet again, further down the river, share what we both discovered" I think he's saying how he'd love to think about things and share feelings but right now, he really doesn't want to focus on anything but the soothing feeling of floating down a river. I swear, Brandon is some kind of visionary. |

You have to get out and experience the risks, whatever they may be, because it's the only way to live life. "Please end this before it ends us" shows that this whole agoraphobia phase needs to stop or else no one will really be living. It'll be the end of people, of society. We can't fear everything. Alright, here it is. I think that this song describes a relationship that has ended. The singer feels bad for ending the relationship, because he still has feelings for her. He doesn't want to get out of bed because that would mean facing up to what has happened. She has hurt him before, though. She was always selfish, hence "you're always first when no one's on your side." He's indecisive, only because he's human. It shows his weakness at the end, though, because he wants the caller to be her. He still misses her. Brandon Boyd is too amazing. |
