I have a couple of responses. but I'm sure you caught the first one, perhaps you didn't, which is irony. either you are a true follower of Socrates or you have become elucidated by dingy motor oil. I didn't bother to check, because I was positive that "runnling" was not a word within the english language. non causa ad hominem, you really just contradicted yourself--big time. if you're that concerned about the syntactical or grammatical structure of random people espousing an interpretation of a song, then I'd hate to see how you react to truly passionate beliefs. Secondly, The Glass Menagerie? Seriously! I don't know how much you know about Tennessee Willams or the character Tom, but you seem to be somewhere near an expert on his material. I mean even my professors failed to see the connection, and Dr. Kovich actually knew Williams when he worked at SLU. As far as Ayn Rand, sure every capitalist loves an ethical egoist. But to point out (inductively) a logical fallacy in your pretensious quips...The majority of the people on this board are not of voting age nor interested in the direct link to their lyrical tastes and the polity. | I think what everyone fails to realize about this song is that it is by far the greatest of the dntel service session tracks. From the winding click in the beginning to the softly endearing, almost whispering of gibbard pouring his heart out. With almost videogamesque beats and sounds. The slight echo and sweet toned quiet female backup vocals to boot. Geez. Geez, Louise. I've listened to EVERYTHING from gibbard and mostly everything from tamborello. I don't know what else to say here. But my girlfriend is shorter than myself and I'll be the platform shoes and undo what heredity's done to you, Erin. | |
