i agree with ultimatejerk...because it just makes sense. how he walks in the door, dripping wet (obviously depressed b/c all of his friends are having sex and he is not). They all survey him, their next prey, and then he just picks one. so this also makes sense with the whole holden caulfield/ catcher in the rye reference too. but i have to say the line "Die young and save yourself" is absolute genius....just think about it for a second: how unjaded we all were before we started having sex/being consumed with the idea of sexuality? this whole idea of young and innocent is obliterated after sex takes a major driving role in an adolescents live (again, catcher in te rye-esque). jesse's warning of this. |

i was ten when my best friend since kindergarden succumbed to leukemia.....when she relapsed after her bone marrow transplant, I had a gut feeling that she wouldn't make it through the end of fifth grade. everytime i tried to say my goodbye, I just couldn't get the words out...because maybe if I couldn't say goodbye she couldn't leave. i never cried about her death until years later. to the this day, the one thing that eats me alive is that i never got to say goodbye.
