I absolutely love the lines: standing in the storm -- waiting for the flash to crash
counting seconds before we turn to ash
this song makes me think of the biblical story of sodom and gomorra, it's getting nearer don't turn your head around, she wasn't supposed to looks back, and when she did she was turned into a pillar of salt. pillars of salt watch as it all burns down... makes sense somehow. and other songs on the album (bring me the head of the preacher man for sure) have biblical references in them as well... |
