| John Prine – Pretty Good Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song describes how i feel when i really do not care about anything. i think the chorus is about a guy who is taking advantage of a woman. |

| Johnny Cash – It Ain't Me Babe Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Depressing, but I love it, haha. | |
| Matt Skiba – Good Fucking Bye Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| "And hiding my hands that tremble like earthquakes," I just got that. It's like he needs the alcohol. I'm pretty good,ey? | |
| Nine Days – Good Friend Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| A very good "goodbye friend" song. Dont find many like them ,and it's positive. | |
| Saliva – Rest In Pieces Lyrics | 20 years ago |
You don't know what you've got till it's gone. Regrets about endind something or leaving, yet you can't take it back. The other person doesn't know how much it's hurting/affecting you, and you just wish they would understand that you need to be alone. MAYBE? |

| Alkaline Trio – We Can Never Break Up Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Nevermind. :) | |
| Sebadoh – Not A Friend Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think both of you are right. It's definitely about how much a relationship changed by just one simple thing that could have been prevented. |

| Alkaline Trio – We Can Never Break Up Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Is there any way to get this song without buying the CD from Hot Topic? | |
| Matt Skiba – The City That Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |

| Alkaline Trio – Over At The Frankenstein Place Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I am not sure what this song is about, and I know that Alkaline Trio did a cover of it (obviously), but I really like the sound. It makes me feel light and jolly when I hear it, haha, as dumb as that sounds. But "there's a light" just sounds so cool when I hear it. :):) |
| Alkaline Trio – Your Neck Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is splendid. I'm not sure what it means, but what makes you think it's about vampires? I'm interested.. The neck thing? I love this song though. |
| Alkaline Trio – Smoke Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Probably one of my favorite new A3 songs. I'm not sure what it means, but I empathize with it (if that is even possible..) and it just clicked with me. Sometimes I think that the A3 songs just click with me, regardless of if I know the meanings of the songs or not. Does anyone else have that feeling? And I like the opinion in which Obiwan6986 said he is on tour. I think every Alkaline Trio song meshes A3s feelings, our feelings, and other people's feelings all into one beautiful song. |

| Alkaline Trio – Prevent This Tragedy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I love it how they write about interesting things such as the Donner Party and the West Memphis Three and Susan Atkins. And somehow, they connect those things to create powerful songs that incorporate their lives/feelings. Brilliant. |
| Alkaline Trio – Back to Hell Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Yes I love it how Matt and Dan sing together! | |
| Alkaline Trio – Mercy Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I'm pretty sure that I think this song is about missing/needing something. And that once the thing he misses/needs is gone, he realizes how much he needs it. Because before he didn't pay much attention to it, or took advantage of it, or even wished for it to leave. And also I sense a little bit of something that skacore_dude said. I agree that he wants to get on with his life from something. |
| Alkaline Trio – Fall Victim Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Haha, I love this song, but I always was thinking the lyrics in the chorus were - "As I fell victim, to the devil's suicide." But, thank you for clearing me up on that. :) Anyways, I think that this might be about recording an album or something? I don't know, but the playing records backwards too many times and wasting their time.. Those are some feelings I would have if I recorded an album. Haha, tell me if I am crazy or not. |
| Alkaline Trio – Settle For Satin Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I love this song. It was the first song off of the new album that I fell in love with. I love the lines - "It's not so much a storm But just a cloud that lives inside of me " and "It's not about the scars But more the cracks/crowds that walk all over me" It's got to have a hidden meaning. I think Dan's voice sounds great on this song, and I like how Dan and Matt kind of sing together on the chorus. |
| Alkaline Trio – Burn Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I agree with similar philosophies on the song. You are forced to continue along, and also you learn more when you are being pushed with something. I love the way A3 makes everything so right. By that I mean, they just word every song perfectly. They are truly brilliant |

| Breaking Benjamin – So Cold Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This may be dumb.. But is this about the Holocaust? I dont know, I watched the music video, and in school I have been studying this subject recently. It just reminded me of it. Any opinions? :| |
| Paul Westerberg – As Far As I Know Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song to me portrayed a very happy sound at first, until I found the lyrics. "As far as I know, the stars in the sky are dull As far as I know, compared to your eyes only " I used to think that insert was- "As far as I know, the stars in the sky are toes As far as I know, that you're rhizome." Rhizome being a plant/root, but I guess that I stand corrected. Is he talking about a TV Star? Or a father? Or a lover? Or what? It's confusing, yet I connect to it 100%. I'm in love with something that doesn't exist. It's as simple as that folks! |

| Alkaline Trio – Emma Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| My name is Emma. And my ex-boyfriend told me that this song reminds him of me. So yea. It's special. But also, it's like giving up love for death. Deep. | |
