| Daft Punk – Technologic Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song reminds me very much of fitter-happier by radiohead. I think it has a similar idea behind it of presenting modern life (in this case modern technological life) as a string of phrases most of which are perfectly innocous but hidden within the song are a couple which present the agenda behind it. Here we have "twitch" and "obey it". In the radiohead song we have "concerned, but powerless" and a few others. The particularly fast and upbeat character of this song stems from the phrases mainly being commands. | |

Thinking a bit more it makes more sense if it was an affair. Just because i'm sorry doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it at the time. You could see this as a response to the question: "Did you enjoy it?" which wouldn't have been asked about a drugs issue. |

| I think its about a guy who's had an affair and is apologising for it. But I admit it could equally well be about taking drugs and apologising for that. Either way I think its depressing not lifting! (Read ragagamma's comment). | |

Regarding Ips41's comments: Those three lines could refer to the boat. However the next line is As human contraband. It seems to meen that Mariah is a mexican immigrant. Those three lines and this one together fit this interpretation but not the one about the boat. |
