I think this song is about dealing drugs... Despite that, the chorus gives good advice that we need to take advantage of the "lovely days" that we are "living ordinarily"... What a melody this song has!! |

5 years ago I won the heart of the girl of my dreams... I screwed it up, apparantly, and she flew off... This became my song, and I made up my mind that I would simply do better and "make it up" with the next girl I loved... 5 years later, she is BACK in my life, and I will follow Lit's lead in this song and try to make it up to her! Great tune... |

This is my favorite Blue October song... I cannot believe that these guys have gone unnoticed all these months... They will be huge eventually... He wrote and sang this song because he used to have a problem with drugs many years ago... He is now involved in a new relationship after going through successful rehab, and is torn between hiding his "ugly side" or letting her know his drug-related past... |

This may be Blue October's best song... Definitely one of my favorites... It basically means that he wants to become very serious with this girl that he loves, but there is either something standing in their way right now, or there will be trouble ahead in their relationship... He is acknowledging that there will be problems, but that they will get through them together... |
