This song doesn't seem to be about Judas. It seems to reference Judas by using his actions as a metaphor to the guilt the songwriter feels for having fallen short as a friend in the past. To me, this song is about God calling us to express Christ-like love to the people around us, and embracing them as children of God. Not "preaching," not "converting," just loving in turn, as God loved us. The first verse seems to be God's call to action, while the second verse (the one with the Judas reference) seems to be about a relationship with a friend, while the (MAGNIFICENT!) ending seems to be the songwriter's call to God, saying "I'm ready when you are." Placing his life in God's hands, while ever pursuing His company. This is just a beautiful song. I am a huge Copeland fan, and was drawn to this track when I heard that Aaron sang guest vocals on it, and upon listening to some of Underoath's other music, have now been persuaded to buy an album and support the band! |

I don't know... Love the song, but what does this lyric mean? "But its so hard to see The reality That the end will be The end of things Our hearts are all we get to bring So let's go ahead and make them worth something?" I don't get it!!! |
