amadadeleted, you're clearly missing the point of this song. The song is about Henley''s metaphyiscal approach to attaining an epistomological understanding of youth and all that entails it. As time passes and the proverbial "boys of summer," in the parlance of our time, come hither and then pass, we are reminded of how ephemeral our existence is and how we are in a constant state of entropy. |

actually, compuwiz is kinda right...Steve Perry originally wrote this song about LA, then had to change it when he joined Journey to make it about San Fran cuz that's where the rest of Journey was from...i got your back compuwiz!! |
