| I get the feeling that Geoff is singing about the inevitabiility of time taking it's toll on the world and the people in it. This seems to be a constant theme throughout the entire album. I also feel as if he's making a statement about vast conformist void that will one day consume us all if we do not realize it and change. | |

| I keep reading comments saying "It's about insomnia". Perhaps. But I think it digs a bit deeper than that. The sleeplessness is being caused by the loss of something. All the refernces to "we" suggests he has lost someone, and is sulking over a lost lover, or perhaps mourning over the loss of a good friend. | |
