| Hot Rod Circuit – Very Best Friend Lyrics | 20 years ago |

First off, the title of the song is wrong. Secondly, WHAT is the deal with the lyrics in this song. It's like this huge conspiracy thing. There's a piece of lyrics missing out of EVERY single transcript of this song that I find. "So he says did you know i'm your very best friend, I cant' repeat this over [...missing lyrics here...] eye rings on your pillow..." I even sent a letter to HRC themselves and they replied with THIS exact copy of lyrics. If you listen to the song, it's ridiculously obvious that he's saying something. But I can't decipher it. I'm gonna have to somehow get to him in person and ask him. |

This song makes me sad. I'm still in love with my ex-girlfriend named Emily. |

| Elliott Smith – A Passing Feeling Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Elliott has a way with making sad songs seem eerily happy. The lyrics are usually pretty depressing, yet his voice and the instruments mask that. It reminds me of how his life might have been. Hiding his problems with a happy fasade. -Jason |

| Elliott Smith – A Fond Farewell Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I was listening to this song and I realized something. I think this song IS his goodbye to the world. If you relate all the lyrics to Elliott's life while he was probably writing it, it's like a complete puzzle. That makes me so sad. He's our friend, and this is his fond farewell. God, I wish I would have discovered him sooner than I did. I only knew "Needle in the hay" from the Royal Tennenbaums soundtrack. That is sad. I am a big fan now. I wish I could meet him and tell him that I appreciate him, y'know. |

| Elliott Smith – Twilight (Somebody's Baby) Lyrics | 21 years ago |

This song is so sad. I love it though, I listen to it all the time. I don't think it's about drugs. I think it's about what everyone else said about how it's about two people in love, but they know that it wouldn't work. I wish Elliott wouldn't have done what he did. He was absolutely amazing and he left a huge hole in the music world, a hole that will never be filled. I wish more people would have been able to tell him how wonderful he was and how they appreciate him and he is loved, maybe he wouldn't have done it. Seriously. So sad. |
