I've always loved this song by Dire Straights, but McCain's version took it to a whole new level...so simple and heart felt. I played it like 50 times in a row. By the way, McCain doesn't play this in concert.....even if you yell it from the crowd. |

WEIRD! I don't understand why everyone is missing a critical part of this song's storyline. Dude is out on the street playing his Love Song for the general public. He's approaching strangers in the street by popping out from the shade and saying something like, "you and me babe, how bout it". Then the song goes into his love song and story. Go read the first and last verses; its clearly laid out. I picture Romeo as kinda of a pleasant half crazy street bum telling his story of heartbreak. What a beautiful song. |
