Bullet for My Valentine – Dignity Lyrics 15 years ago
I agree with LRonaldHubbs. I would say it's more about being the youth and our generation. We all have something to stand for, and we seem to be shunned when we rise up. The world seems to look down on "kids" and our way of life. Times change, and "the future's ours to take."

36 Crazyfists – The Tide and Its Takers Lyrics 15 years ago
I just listened to this song again for the first time in a while. To me, it has something to do with him being in a relationship where he keeps making unforgivable mistakes. She keeps taking him back even though he doesn't deserve it. And this time, he is not asking for forgiveness because he knows he just keeps hurting her. The only time he will ever come around again is if he is in dire need. Of course, he is telling her that she has the power to forget him and move on; to let go of it all. At the end when he's saying "...you'll never go away" its as if he is saying, he is moving on for her sake but that doesn't mean he will forget her and what they once had.

Demon Hunter – Collapsing (feat. Björn "Speed" Strid) Lyrics 15 years ago
What a great song to use as their first single from this album.

This song seems to be about giving up on life. Perhaps a tragic event occurred that sparked this feeling. It's one of those things that when it goes wrong it feels like nothing else in this world really matters anymore, even if you have so much to live for. Something may have happened in which the character could have prevented it but failed to do so and now cannot live with him/herself.

Demon Hunter – LifeWar Lyrics 15 years ago
I think it relates more to today's world. Life is nothing but a war to many people. Sure, you can take it literally and relate it to the war(s) in the middle east but it also reflects the tough times people go through from the time they are born. Some people start out fighting an uphill battle and life never gets easy, so by the time they die it is as if that is their one true relief knowing that it is finally over.

And seeing as it is demon hunter something sort of jumped out to me.

"30, I wake to the sound of souls at war
I will pass through, buried with the flag of my war

Wash me in the river, give me to the pain of LifeWar
LifeWar"

Those lines specifically make me think it has something to do with Purgatory and the process of getting into heaven perhaps.

Halestorm – I Get Off Lyrics 16 years ago
Hikka has it on point. I, too, remember hearing her say about it being performing in front of the crowd. If I remember right, it was on Hard Drive (the syndicated radio show). Like many other songs the lyrics make you believe something else, but that's what musics all about. Any song can mean anything to whoever is listening.

Spineshank – Play God Lyrics 16 years ago
For some reason, the first thing I think of when I hear this song is Rev. Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple/Jonestown. Seems quite fitting if you know anything about it. While there were only a handful of survivors, I could see this being written from their point of view. eh, who knows? Just some food for thought.

3 Doors Down – Behind Those Eyes Lyrics 20 years ago
I think its about a guy that has been cheated on or deceived by his girl and it happened numerous times before and this time he is torn between staying with her or finally calling it quits. No matter what he does, nothing will change and he finally realized that. Maybe the relationship has gone of for so long and he doesnt want to have to start over again. Also, it could be something hidden, for example maybe in her past relationship, her significant other was abusive and has internally scarred her for life and she fears that the new guy will do the same so she doesnt want to commit to him, leading to mass confusion in the relationship, and secrets.

Mudvayne – A World So Cold Lyrics 20 years ago
I think the song is about a group of friends who have battled through many things together and got into something that was considered a sin, or something that was looked down upon such as drugs, and one by one they all have died or have left except for one. and now they are left alone with no one and nothing except the habits that they've picked up from the group. And they are trying to change but because of the past actions, no one will accept them. The person being described never got to live their life to the full extent and now because they realize they have ruined everything, they are just trying to find a sanctuary somewhere within themselves. Perhaps the person ruined their life at an early age, and now regret doing it because they cannot change such as an addiction to something....resorting back to the drugs.

Simple Plan – Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?) Lyrics 20 years ago
the song can be interpreted a million different ways, whether you believe the car accident or what not, the song will just about affect anyone that has a heart. It is so easy to relate to, I normall do not like Simple Plan but this song has so much meaning and relevance behind it, that it pulled me in.

36 Crazyfists – Slit Wrist Theory Lyrics 21 years ago
i think the "Lace me up" part is him saying put on a tourniquet so i can begin to cut myself again. The angels in the snow, may possibly refer to what he is suppose to feel from the cutting.

"I'll color you all red" is saying him cutting himself isnt just going to hurt him. it is going to hurt everyone around him as well.
