if he was really an atheist, he wouldnt be afraid to die because his faith/belief would be in his disbelief (of religion, christianity, whatever). i think this song sucks and they need to stop ripping off of radiohead's sound. |

"(hell)icopter-- he makes the six six six reference in this song also...it seemed to go along with it. like hell on earth (america's war on war) being spun around in circles and spread out all over the world, obviously relating hell to americans and american policy |

haha yeah my last post was kind of ambiguous. what i meant was to use "gold" instead of souls for the particular lines i was analyzing. but i suppose you could use either...
but no matter- this is an incredible song. soundgarden at its best in my opinion. |

ok so i just stumbled upon the top 50 artists page and saw that taking back sunday was number one...ok...WHAT THE FUCK! how are there 700 and something comments on a song that my 12 year old brother couldve written in a few hours. we should all go shit in a big pile and masturbate in our feces while listening to this song. and then comment on it 700 times.
ok guys, seriously, im not the kind of person who get on here and talks shit about the whole emo-scene. hell i bought this cd and still listen to it occasionally, but it makes me want to vomit when i see so many comments about something so simple cliche and unoriginal. i mean people should listen to what they enjoy..,. but please open up your eyes to better things...
and by the way- seeing them live just accentuates everything bad about them (adam lazarazrzararas terrible vocals). so advice for the current tbs fan: if you like them right now, and you want to continue liking them in the future....please do not see them live. i promise you that you will be disappointed. |

its supposed to be:

probably my favorite lines... seems like hes saying while the glamorous people continue their empty, superficial struggle for power (or whatever it may be: money, clothes, etc..), he will be living his life focusing on reality and what is worthwhile and meaningful in life |
