Also, I think the lyrics should be changed. . .I believe he says: "I don't bend and I don't break" that would rhyme with "forsake" in the next line. . . |

Absolutely nothing to do with slavery. . .everything to do with faith and heaven. . .how do you explain the "diesels hummin'" and "picking up people from coast to coast"? Slavery was regional, not national. Plus, Jordan is a very spiritual place in the Bible (i.e. the River Jordan) and the rather direct reference to "Kingdom's throne" |

I agree that this is a great song. . .but I don't think it has ANYTHING to do with drugs. . .it is all about friendship and to me the "silver girl" is a reference to a female friend of his. . .with all due respect to Harry in When Harry Met Sally. . .men and women CAN be friends and this is what this song is about to me. . . |
