| I've downloaded the video as well 'cause it's been bugging me for ages not knowing the lyrics 'caise it's an awsome song.At the begining of the video Adam says "This song is a new song,It was recorded when I was home,recovering with my hip"(he was in an accident) but it also means that somewhere theres another recording.The only one avalible on the net is from their show at the aztlan theatre,denver on 11/12/02. Adam also says "it's about the dragon which you'll understand soon enough and it's also about the bling,the floyd and wanting to die.Think about that." I think those are just metaphors for what the songs about.I've figured out a few of the lyrics but i just haven't wrote them down or anything.I'll do it sometime when I'm bored 'cause i'v figured out quite a few. | |

i've just downloaded it version with this song labeled head club (demo) not mutal head club. The beginings a lot different but it doesn't have the same ending as this (so keep me updated call back in a week to check up on me ) but the one on tell all your friends and it's definatly not acoustic.im kinda confused. |

Woooo first post :P Anyways...excitement over.I'm not really sure what this song means.I'm Gonna take a random guess and say it's about the writer and this girl and he's saying it's never gonna work out cause she cheated on him or something else to hurt him hence - "You cradle over your mistakes, and every heart you'll never break." I think she's always coming home not when she says she will ("You hide it everytime you miss, Impatience waits around for me.") "The killer's walking amongst us," could be referring to the guy she cheated with as he killed their relationship. ------------------- I can see how this doesnt fit though.The line- " I'm sorry enough to tell you,that I'm okay and i'm never going to see you again" could be him appologiesing for something he's done.Or he could be sorry for never seeing about her affair sooner and how he wishes it never happened.But i think hes just trying to deny his pain and get over her. Sorry .That's probs miles off. |

| I think this songs about a friend thats never for you when you need them most, but they expect you to be there 24/7.I relate to this song too well.I used to be really good mates with this guy (nothing more and i never wanted it to be).He always asked me for advice with his trivial "problems" (basically he was totally in "love" with wthis girl and she didnt feel the same and even thought she told him this, he refused to try and move on 'cos he thouht he had a chance)and the times I told him about my problems he'd just be like " yea...thats bad ...so what do you think i should do about katie?"literally.Im not one to exagerate.It's like he always wanted the answers to his problems and that I didnt need anything in return.It drives me insane how he's like this , so self centred but at the same time I can;t help but feel selfish 'cos I should care for him 'cos hes my mate. | |

To me , this song reminds me of this guy i was really good mates with , but before this we never even spoke.He was the one person i could tell ANYTHING.We knew each other inside out.He told me his problems,i told him mine and we helped each other out,and at times, we were each others shoulders to cry on .Then i began to feel stonger feelings for him , i told him , he didn't feel the same but nothing changed,we still remained just as close, if not closer.we speant practiacally all our time together.But then i realised i had no chance,tried to move on , to help him with a complexed situation in his love life i told him that i didn't feel the same then he just distanced himself from me.Why ?I'll never understand that .But then he started to go out with this other girl and at first i was ok with it , i wanted him to finally be happy , but still today there's just a hint of jealousy.(blue and yellow =green=jealousy)I asked him why he didn't talk to me much and he just said "oh...sorry.i didn't no i was.theres a lot going on in my life atm .sorry.i'll try nd stop it"But still i'm fading away.I really am over him but every thing i say goes unnoticed.I really miss those days ..... Some of you have come close but others have totally forgotten that it's a concept album .the concept is That gerard nd mikeys grandma elena(who the albums deciated 2 )also know as helena in the 1st song is dead.he makes a deal with the devil that if he kills 1000 men she can come back to life.Here's my intrepretaion - In the song before(to the end)he kills people at a stag party. "in the middle of a gunfight in the center of a restaurant they say come with your arms raised high"-the cops have finally caught up with him "well they're never gonna get me like a bullet through a flock of doves to wage this war against your faith in me your life will never be the same on your mother's eyes say a prayer say a prayer"-He won't let them take him to jail.A so called friend shopped him in so he's gonna kill him too. "now but i can't and i don't know how we're just two men as god had made us well i can't well i can "-As much as he wants elena back he likes his friend too,but in the end he realises he wants his gran back more. "too much too late or just not enough of this pain in my heart for your dying wish i'll kiss your lips again "-he feels he shouldn't hav e had second thoughts about killing the guy.he think's he's not hurting enough.I think the kissing bit might be mixed up with this.its probs bout the kissing bert thing. I,personally,don't think your right.It's a concept album meaning all the songs fit together to tell a story.it's dedicated to Gerrard's dead Grandma-helena but her real names elena. The concept of the album is him making a deal with the devil to bring her back to life if he kills 1000 men .I would think you guyz we're right if iit wasn't a concept album but it is .so, here's my interpretaion ... "He calls the mansion not a house but a tomb. He's always choking from the stench and the fume"-he's killed a lot of the men he needs to.He's hiding the bodies in his mansion,hence the tomb.Bodies rot and when they do it smells awful. "The wedding party all collapsed in the room. So send my resignation to the bride and the groom"-the dead men were all guests to a wedding but now they won't be turning up ...this was the stag party. "Let's go down. This elevator only goes up to ten. He's not around. He's always looking at men."-He keeps checking on the bodies.Perhaps there were 10 bodies. "Down by the pool he doesn't have many friends. As they are face down and bloated snap a shot with the lens. If you marry me, would you bury me? Would you carry me to the end? "-As a child gerrard didn't have many friends.None of the band did.The dead bodied were his friends.One of them was the groom. "Say goodbye to the vows you take. Say goodbye to the life you make. Say goodbye to the heart you break. And all the cyanide that you drank"-He poisoned them all with cyanide so now the groom won't be able to make his vows. "She keeps a picture of the body she lends. Got nasty blisters from the money she spends. Do you care at all?"-this is where i'm unsure.they might have had a row and he never got to appologise 'cos she died or this is him taking the piss again out of frustration.Does she get what he's going through?is it worth the effort? The only thing i don't get is why gerrard said it's about teenage pregnancy andkids being the future.He might have wanted us all to think about the meaning or he felt vunerable with his emotions on show to millions. |
