White lines that sped us up...what else could that mean other then coke, we know he's done it...he makes references to it in other songs...it makes you hyper...i think that's pretty clear. | |

IT'S NOT ABOUT COCAINE DAMMIT. you blow coke(snort it) "cause we paint the foil with the flame smear the soda, taste butane" foil for the pipe or whatnot, flame for the lighter, soda for baking soda(thanks barrowedtune), and you have to use a butane lighter to smoke crack cause a normal one doesn't get hot enough. The song is about somebody smoking crack for days and days...that's crazy all effects of the stuff only last for what a half hour to 45 minutes at most usually less cause base lasts shorter then coke. They must have blown so much money in a few days... |

the song is about drugs. what drug is the question. one of two, crack or meth cause you smoke both. I'd say crack cause of the baking soda thing barrowedtune said which is true, and the fact that conor has lyrics about coke in a lot of his songs. Meth lasts a lot longer and people are known to go on bindges for days without sleep. Other then the smear the soda part it sounds just like meth(speed), but thanks to barrowedtune i'm going to say it's about smoking rocks for days and days... I love this song so much, the ending is so perfect, how the music is in full throttle with the womans voice under it singing and then "days and days" over and over, then the music dies out and she's still singing "days and days" absolutely beautiful. songs about drugs catch my fancy though, even more so when the music is amazing. |
