yeah i just wanted to add to my bit before (thanks to Strainy's comment) that that verse: "With a second chance I'd mess it up again But I'd do it worse than before Cos I've learned so much more" could be that, afterwards even though this girl isnt everything he though, he reckons that if given another chance, he'd still do what he did in the first place coz the girl seemed so damn perfect |

My favourite song on the album. It is bloody amazing, and i love it! "Suckin' up to strangers, throwing wishes to the seas" ooh that just sends vibes down my spine. I thought it was about being with someone but then cheating on him/her (anzious and suspicious that God knew how much we cheated) and you were waiting for the moment the right person came and you could be with them properly forever, but being blind and not seeing that the person you are cheating on is the person and moment your waiting for but then they find out you've been cheating and leave you and then you realise it was the right person (when you finally saw it coming, passed you by and left you so defeated). and so your screwed really! humm thats what i think. |

| wow, that sums it right up dosedbyyou, great way of putting it. thats what it makes me feel as well. and 'in the water where the scent of my emotion, all the world will pass me by,' great lyirics, great music. i love that bit. I LOVE THIS SONG. i think its about a woman, i dont like the way because a lot of their songs are about drugs, everyone jumps to the conclusion that every song they have is. look on this site, every single rhcp song will have someone commenting that its about drugs... that just makes me sick. but hey it may well be about drugs! | |

i think one of the great things about the chilis, is that their songs dont only have one meaning. many of them do have traces of meaning with heroine addiction, but i think that this is also speaking to a girlfriend/friend??? saying that he isnt the good guy that she thinks he is, 'im an inbred and a pot head, two legs that you spread inside the tool shed' and that he thinks its better if he just goes. but then also saying that he could be good and that he tries to make good changes to her life. 'im the rainbow in your jail cell.' and hes telling her that even though hes going, that he'll always be there for her and that she shouldnt forget him. i could go on forever about this song, or any chilis song... they are just so great. but iv cut this short so i dont bore you. this is a great song, with so many emotions, stories, feelings running through it plus anthony's great voice and great music. this is my favourite song on the album, and may well be my favourite chili song of all time.... but there's a lot of great chili songs. FLIPPIN' EXCELLENT |

| hmm, i dont know why it is called chocolate. my first guess, after listening to the song a few times, was that it was because what he was doing felt so sweet and addictive, even though that he knew it was wrong to be doing what he was (like it is wrong to eat too much chocolate even though it is lovely, perhaps???). but after listening to other ideas you lot all seem to be a lot better at the whole understanding songs thing than me. its just an amazing song!!!! | |

yeah yeah. i dont think this songs sung between two guys, and the only lyric to support that is 'your a big boy now, so lets not talk about growth.' i think that this sentence is either him saying that, yes, he should act his age as perhaps his wife/girlfriend??? has told him to, but then says that she is not listening to what hes said. or that he is imitating what she has said to him, critisising that she has neither listened to what hes said. but thats just my view, hey i duno whether hes gay! |
