this seems to be an introduciton to the "late man's" dream... wihich culminates in the title track. Maybe a fantastical representation of the late man? His thought is only recognized by few and out of society, htus in the night. And he is waiting for recognition from the people of society , or the "sun child". |

| King Crimson – Epitaph Lyrics

This song discusses the despair of society and how conformists are leading everythinh down the wrong path. Back then "prophets" dreamed of an ideal society and the "late men" and "moonchildren" are trying to crawl along that path that is being shattered by modern society: politicians, war, everything. However, the tone of despair rings that this path is growing harder to crawl across and may be gone eventually if things progress this way. The is somewhat of a combination of schizoid man and i talk to the wind: this is the "late man's" fear that the world will become that of the schizoid man. |

I believe this song, liek the other songs on the album, comment on society. I believe the song says that by the 21st sentury the world will be in a horrible state if society stays in its current state. |

This song is about a person of the counter-culture, considering the times a hippie probably. He is without the infulence of society and the "straight man" or one who conforms to society cannot understand the "late man"'s mind set. meanwhile the late man jsut looks on society as a mess. He is obviously lonely and can only talk to the wind. I believe this whole album is about the horrible state of society, and how the countyer-culture really see the world is a better way. |

I LOVE THIS SONG. Why arent there more comments? The story about the backwards track is that john came home from the studio after recording it and was stoned out of his mind. so, he accidentally put the tape in backwards and realized it sounded cool. |

They say Ringo wrote this, but he says he "only wrote 3 words". Anyway, this is my least favorite Bealtles song. I think it is a gap in the great album Rubber Soul. |

This song is actually about how John hated going to press conferences and interviews, but the other Beatles loved it, so he didn't "want to spoil the party" and acted like he enjoyed it. |

I actually first thought they were saying i get high. Then I read lyrics iand i realized it was cant hide. Bob Dylan actually made that same mistake. Though their later songs are a lot more artistic, this is still one great tune. |

On one of the verses you can hear a steady high pitched noise iun the background. I think that grwatly adds to the effect, making this a very good song. |

I'm pretty sure this was a song in the works, but they just decided to put it on thew end of cry baby cry. Maybe because cry baby cry was very short. |

Ringo, in my opinion, was not as talented as the others, but he still was very skilled. Many people do not relaize it, but Ringo was a very revolutionary drummer. I like this song and Joe Cocker's version too. The Joe Cocker version at Woodstock is amazing. |

When I think of this song I thnk of a street shrouded in blue mist. Sure enough in the move MMT, George is sitting singing this shrouded in blue mist. Very good song though, does give a good eerie feeling. |
