The Vines – Autumn Shade II Lyrics 19 years ago
I'll try my best:

Look through me because I am a transparent
- You feel as if you're nothing, like eveyone can see through you.

Her to know me but why even know yourself
- People say they know you, but how can they when YOU don't even know who you really are.

I'm beginning to need all that I can't have
- You're wanting things that you think you will never have, maybe it's happiness.

I'm succeeding to speak like I'm fucking mad
- You're saying things that you don't exactly mean, and maybe it sounds as if you're crazy.

I can't really figure out the chorus. I think the "Looking at the autumn shade" part means you're feeling depressed or something like that. I'll get back to you on that. I'll have to study it more, put myself in Craig's place. This is my favorite Vines song....

This is one of those songs by the Vines that you just can't seem to really grasp what he's trying to say. I agree somewhat with used-trash. I don't know, I'd have to study it more to try and figure out what it's about... Awesome song anyway.

The Vines – Amnesia Lyrics 19 years ago
I don't exactly know what this is about. I guess it's like he can't remember anything because, I don't know, maybe it's like he's depressed or something. The part about God's love ain't forever, I think it's about that you seem to be protected by God but then you realize that he's set you free to figure things out on your own or something. I wouldn't exactly know anything about God, I don't believe in him. But anyways, I guess he's saying that he doesn't care and that it doesn't matter what he has, he doesn't really need anything. God this is bad. But i gave it my best shot.

I can't exactally tell. If I were to guess, it's probably about drugs. I dunno, usually I can figure them out, but the lyrics are too weird. Anyways it don't really matter. It's a fuckin' awesome song.

The Vines – In The Jungle Lyrics 19 years ago
Oh duh, I forgot to comment this song. It's like one of the best Vines song. God, I love it. I listen to it all the time. I love the way it's like really like... um... it has a kind bouncing beginning and then it gets kind of slow and all and then it gets all fast and shit. It's so fucking awesome. The Vines are brilliant.

The Vines – In The Jungle Lyrics 19 years ago
Geez I could cry... I cannot stand it when people don't write the lyrics the correct way. It just gets confusing...

In the jungle you can sleep
With the commandments at your feet
Where the devil lays his hand
You don't even need to think
I'm tearing holes without a sink
But I know just where I stand

Lines from the story you put before me
I don't know what to choose
Under the oak tree, tin all around me
I don't know what to proove

Yeah! She! Felt! You! Felt! Like! Hell!

In the jungle (yeah!), you're in the jungle (yeah!)
You're in the jungle (that's you!)
In the jungly (yeah!), you're in the jungle (yeah!)
You're in the jungle, oh...

Ahhh....

And I'll be waiting for a hit, yeah
Ain't gonna seem fair tonight
And I'll keep having other fits, yeah
Because it makes me feel alright
Alright, alright, oh, yeah, right, oh yeah, yeah

So if you should need a hand
Write down the address of the land
But I'm running out of time

Under the oak tree, tin all around me
I don't know what to prove

Lines from the story (yeah!) you put before me (she!)
Can't do without me (felt!) like I could (I'll tell you when it's time to leave)
Under the oak tree (you!), tin all around me (felt!)
Can't do without me (like) like I could (I'll tell you when it's time to leave)

In the jungle (yeah!), you're in the jungle (she!)
You're in the jungle (felt!) (I'll tell you when it's time to leave)
In the jungle (you!), you're in the jungle (felt!)
You're in the jungle (like!) (I'll tell you when it's time to leave)

You're never gonna get clean

In the jungle (yeah!), you're in the jungle (yeah!)
(You're never gonna get clean)
In the jungle, ohhh...

k, just thought I'd write the correct way. Sorry if it bugs you I just like it written the way it is.

The Vines – Ride Lyrics 19 years ago
ALL OF YOU HAVE THE WRONG LYRICS!!!

First off, it's "if I don't get this message HONED" LOOK IN THE BOOKLET THINGY. And second of all, it's "Ride with me, ride with me, ride with me, OH" not "home". Look at the damn booklet it says it all.

The Vines – Mary Jane Lyrics 19 years ago
I have a transcript of the song, if you'd like it. I got it off a friend.

First off, Mary Janes = Marijuana

Mary Jane said life's a wait (meaning you can slow down everything by getting high)
I already knew
Because we're down, we'll lose the town (because you're feeling down, you'll get high so that you can forget about everything)
Just like I would choose (which you want to do)

Mary Jane said minds are games (basically saying that by getting high you can play with your mind like nothing's really wrong)
I went to the moon (kind of a feeling when you're high, like you're on the moon, weightless and that you don't have to deal with everything & your depression)
Before we know, she'll have to go (before you know the feeling of being high will fade away and you'll have to face everything again)
Wish I were there too (Wish you could leave with that feeling so you don't have to deal with everything)
But I've got to go (but knowing you can't and you have to go back to everything)

Mary says I, I can love you (basically saying that it's as if marijuana could be your only escape and you really don't need anything else)
Life's a wait (slowing things down by getting high)
Why should I lose? (what have you got to lose when you're high)
But I've got to go (knowing that getting high is not really an escape and that you're going to have to face everything in the end)

So basically that's it. Some people say that it could be referring to pot and a girl, but I don't see how that could be. It's basically a song about how Craig turns to pot whenever he's depressed or whatever.
