I love this song. John Mayer's lyrics are amazing. I think this song is about a very troubled daughter. When played on the radio, a part of it goes:
"Oh, you see that skin. It's the same she's been standing in since the day she saw him walking away. Now she's left cleaning up the mess he made"
I think he is singing about a girl who's father left her and her family, and he made a big emotional "mess" for her to clean up. |

This is a good song, but hard to tell the meaning of. Here is my cousin's theory:
The guy's girlfriend realized she is a lesbein, but he loves her, so he is changing his gender for her.
I really doubt that that is the meaning, but it's funny. i agree with nesterrq. |

i love this song, one of the best on the CD. I admit it is a little pessimistic, but it's more about a guy who is fed up with someone. Someone who has gotten on his last nerve. Awsome song |
