hmmmm. there's some bits of that i do agree with - i've finally come around to the idea that it's "judge" and the "carbon copy" bit seems likely, amongst others. but i still think it's "you throw up everywhere now" and i'm still not convinced on the dancing "holds"... either way. i adore this song, i love the jazziness to it and all that :) and yeah, i'm petty sure i haven't heard bert go any higher on any used song. it's a pretty high note! |

DontCountToday, I think you're pretty much right on the talking parts - I listened to it on my discman and could hear quite a lot of what they were saying. As for why it's there.. seems to be emphasising the differences in what people think is important in life. The song's fab. |

As far as I see it, this song is something about being with someone who's not the person you want - it seems like he's saying that it would be perfect, but I get the feeling that there's another girl, back home, and all the while he's with this girl he's thinking about the other one. It was the first Death Cab song I fell in love with, I think it's amazing. |

There's not a lot I can say that hasn't already been said about this song... but it's just so amazing, one of my favourites for sure. It's odd, the line that gets me the most is where he says 'with my feet on the dash, the world doesn't matter' It's such a simple thing and yet it just means so much, the whole song creates this image of just being so peacefully happy. I love it to pieces. |

Okay, I'm SURE it's sin. And it's blatantly curve, not curb - circle square, rectangle curve - they're similar things. But anyway, the thing is, maybe it doesn't all make sense - in All That I've Got, Bert uses the word squoze, and that's not even a real word, so perhaps there's a limit to how much we can actually figure out from his lyrics? |

I'm certain it does say 'and he takes his life' at the end of the song.. it's kinda broken up though: 'And he takes...... his life' I LOVE this song, it makes me cry too, because it's real. |
