This song is for me about drugs, like in about all the mudvayne's songs. It's about when a person is addict to drug and theres the both sides of your personnality fighting on agains the other. There's the one who's pushing you to stop taking drugs and there's the other one , the bad one, screamin to stop juss like in: Peel me, from the skin Tear me, from the rind Does it make you happy now? this is one of my favorite song to play at bass ;). Anyway I think this song got 2 faces : the personnal one, and the deep one (juss like mikalcarbine257 explained really good). Ill explain the personnal one: It's all about a re-birth re-creation. Like when your at a point that you see your life got so many ennemies and that you want to change all over. As you all know, mudvayne got into hard drugs during the LD50 experience. Now I think they think they got too far in this substances and they try to re-create evewrything in your mind trying to be more alive and less dead to this this world cuz reality is when ur awake not when your in your personnal world within your mind. |

| Yo I got to admit this song sounds way too commercial for mudvayne but it's still good. Now for the meaning I think it's about mudvayne that is trying to stop on drugs. Juss make a short comparision of the lyrics of this song and the ones from pharmaceucopia. Mudvayne , with the years and album, lost their abstractivity (dunno if this is a word) , depth, complexity that only hard drugs can give (think about genesis). So thats about that they try to stop on drugs. | |
