I guess I'll say something since no one else seems to be interested. Hopefully someone will refute this or agree. I don't know if this is a far stretch or if I'm just reading it wrong, but this song sounds to me like the writer is frustrated with mainstream media today, mainly music. Sugarcult is one of those bands that really knows what they're doing as far as music is concerned, but they've never gotten very popular. They've been kept "outside" of the mainstream group. I won't elaborate anymore, but every section of the song seems to agree with that hypothesis if you think about it. |

I can't agree with any of you. It's definitely "popping so much Prozac," being that Prozac is an anti-depressant, and doctors would be impressed by the dosage that the writer needs to be cured of his being "so depressed." Also, I don't think this song is about a relationship. Sugarcult writes a lot of songs that seem to be about relationships, so I think this one was an attempt to stray from that. I think it's about middle school to high school-age kids in today's world making everything dramatic and "medication-worthy." Any takers? |

Here's what the song is about. A guy broke up with a girl for personal reasons. Maybe he felt like his life needed some changes, but he had trouble making those changes while in a serious relationship. So the song is his way of saying to her (at least in his head) that he didn't want it to happen, but it had to, and he wants one day to have a relationship with her again. Read over the lyrics again and think about it... |

I don't think this song is about "pop" music or rap at all. I think it's about how bands will play music for the wrong reasons just to get popular. One of the things they do is imitate previously popular bands. |
