Kimya Dawson – Trump Style Lyrics 17 years ago
I went to one of her concerts recently and she said she wrote this about a former bass-player of the Moldy Peaches who now teaches maths in Texas. So now you know.

Taking Back Sunday – There's No 'I' In Team Lyrics 20 years ago
A lyrics pool? *blinks* Well, that's one I haven't heard before...

Personally, my favourite part is "Wearing your black eye like a badge of honor, soaking in sympathy, from friends who never loved you, nearly half as much as me." Those lyrics neatly sum up exactly how it feels to fight with a really good friend, and see how everyone else is on their side. Almost everyone can relate to that.

...okay, these are the lyrics for "He's Sad". Unseen has totally different lyrics.

Five – When The Lights Go Out Lyrics 20 years ago
Heehee, when I was nine, I thought this song was about a guy showing a girl how to find her way around in the dark.

I'm not so innocent now, unfortunately... and I've gone off 5ive, just a tad...

Yellowcard – One Year, Six Months Lyrics 21 years ago
Heh, well, I think this is a beautiful song... whether Yellowcard "blow monkey ass" or not. =P

"I can tell that you don't know me anymore
It's easy to forget, sometimes we just forget
And being on this road is anything but sure
Maybe we'll forget, I hope we don't forget"

I love that part. I think the appeal in this song is that it's one everyone can relate to, because everyone knows what it's like to miss someone. =)

Ben Folds Five – Mess Lyrics 21 years ago
This song's beautiful. "All alone as I've learned to be" is very sad.
