| i actually thought it was about him wanting to fuck a girl but he couldn't get her, because she was probably leading him on and teasing him. or fuck could be metaphorical. but it's still a fucking awesome song... | |
| Disturbed – Violence Fetish Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| it's about just living life. Going for everything. Not sitting back and let everyone get their slice of life. And to just show your feelings, not keep them inside. 'Bring the violence, it's significant' , you'll be worse off if you just keep everything inside. | |
| System of a Down – Aerials Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| this song seems to be about us taking life for granted. One minute we love it then the next it's fucked. We are giving life and yet still we don't make the best of EVERY situation | |
| Crossfade – Cold Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| some one being a complete jackass to the person they love and now they're looking back and realizing how completely idiotic they were. They never, once, stopped to think about the other person's feelings before doing/saying something. They've lied and basically made a mess of the whole situation and now they're hoping that person can seem them for what they once were 'in a new light' and forgive them. "what i really mean to say is i'm sorry for the way i am" they're apologizing for what they've done in the past and basically what they have turned into, "i never meant to be so cold" being blunt and cold to the other person's feelings was never their intentions they just got wrapped up in themselves they forgot. The person is their "saviour" of sorts. "I never really wanted you to see, The screwed up side of me that I keep, Locked inside of me so deep" means exactly what it says. the person has a good side and a bad side but at the beginining they tried to protect the one they loved from the bad side but eventually it showed out and the other person got to see what was hidden. And there are many things they've not told the other person about themselves and now they don't have that chance because the person's already had enough and there's no hope any more, 'sorry' is all they can say. | |
| System of a Down – Chop Suey! Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Well aside from whatever the "REAL" meaning is, when I first heard it I immediately thought religion and also a bit about abuse. "Grab a brush and put a little (makeup)" cover up the scars from being beating. "why'd you leave the keys upon the table? Here you go create another fable" kinda like two people talking, the keys part is just an excuse to get beating, it's another fable. "You wanted to..." being an inner voice. The whole end part, was religious to me. "I don't think you trust in my self righteous suicide" Jesus did sacrifice himself for us but this is saying that it wasn't purely for us it was self righteous and we didn't trust in it. "I cry when angels deserve to die" Angels being the good people deserving to die because they've done wrong and it pains God. The direct quotes from Jesus on the cross, God has forsaken him, left him there but he gives his spirit anyway. | |
| Chevelle – Closure Lyrics | 21 years ago |

these are the ACTUAL lyrics Breathe, trust, bless me and release, Climb, hard or never be seen. Closed off, rescue to breathe. Just bless me. Two sided time, Your rebirth can't hurt, Branch out behind, the pain. Closure has come to me myself, You will never belong to me. Closure has come to me myself, You will never belong to me. Had to to turn, lay down, Your sting of disease. Phase you out, should've seen this coming. Go on confusing the soul, Hold my breath 'til you rupture. Three days aside, Your rebirth can't hurt, Branch out behind, pride. Closure has come to me myself, You will never belong to me. Closure has come to me myself, You will never belong to me. Like a leach, I hold on as if we belonged, To some precious pure dream. Cast off, you've seen what's beneath, Now fail me. Forget closure, Forget closure, Forget closure, Forget closure. Closure has come to me myself, You will never belong to me. Closure has come to me myself, You will never belong to me. *** i think it's about him breaking up with a girlfriend. He's trying to get over the pain, only a while has passed since the break up. The break up seems to be the girlfriend's fault "Phase you out, should've seen this coming, go on confusing the soul" Thinks he should've expected whatever happened maybe dealing with mixed feelings. Him being repetitive with "closure has come to me myself, you will never be mine" he's trying to convine himself that this girl will never be his and he needs closure. He held onto the relationship so long because he thought they could get over what bad there was and move past like a dream "Like a leach, I hold on,as if we belonged to some precious pure dream." He's tried, it's continuous. "Now fail me" now he knows what's coming and he's expecting it but he doesn't care. But at the end the pain is far too much so he's like "Forget Closure" he doesn't want it. Closure, as he probably believed, isn't just breaking up with some one it's truly getting over them and getting them out of your thoughts and your heart and he realizes he doesn't want this girl out of his heart, even though it still hurts to think about her. *okay the over analysis is over* |
