the piano at the beginning is supposed to be a look at the process of creating a song (im sure thats not how she really does it, but its interesting all the same). when she hits on the tune the guitar comes in and... its beautiful. i think this is her best song. "you are a china shop and i am a bull you are really good food and i am full" that has to be the nicest way to dump someone, ever. |

in the musical you never know who "he" is, but in the book you'll find shes singing about her ex-lover who she thought she was in love with. i think she sees how naive she was, and that she has to grow up and face reality. also, les mis is not about the french revolution. |
