I don't think "living life how it is not how it was" is a bad thing. All that says to me is that you should not live in the past. So it doesn't really matter where you come from, what's here and now that is important. |

who cares which ones are about Conor? I love Bright Eyes a lot but it irritates me that under every other saddle creek or saddle creek related band's lyrics people keep speculating if these bands are writing about Conor. But maybe I am wrong and every song in existance is about him. |

I like the way the ending in the original builds up ... whereas in this version there is nothing of that. But cover versions are the hardest thing to do, I guess. |

I love love love this song. It was the first Bright Eyes song I heard and it got me hooked (like so many others here) When I saw him live in November in Munich (accustic show) a beautiful girl requested this song, and Conor refused at first cos he did not remember how it went, so she offered to play the guitar and ended up joining him on stage. Best moment ever. Of any concert I've been to. And this concert was already one of the greatest without this. |
