| Hedley – Cha-Ching Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Line up all the Idols Who paint on phony smiles Tryin to ride the fast track for free" a little ironic.. since that's how that awful singer got known. if it wasn't for what this song is talking about then hedley wouldnt be as popular. fucking idiots. terrible band. |

| Paul Baribeau – When You Go Back To College Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i don't think it's a contradiction. this song really rang true to me last year, and i know it's very possible for two people to say they will always have each other but act like complete strangers when they are together. it sucks but it happens. and i think that's what he is saying here. also, the order of it.. probably used to feel that way, but by the end of the song, and the situation they're in, things won't work out. |

| Silversun Pickups – Growing Old Is Getting Old Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| surreal. | |
| The Academy Is... – Beware! Cougar! Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i see this whole album as being written from the view of a highschool student. and a cougar = milf = hot older woman. no one seemed to mention that. she's probably not like 30-40 something like some cougars, but it's just used in exaggeration. probably a student falls in love with a woman older than him, like in her 20's (maybe 23) and she has more experience and thinks she's clever enough to screw around with his head. i dunno. but just keep in mind she's older than him. haha. | |

| Rocky Votolato – Suicide Medicine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i believe that the character in the song (or maybe rocky, himself)is bi-polar. couple things that give me that thought: "Is it the red wire or the blue wire? Just pick one and cut It just doesn't matter anymore Or did it ever? 'Cause I could never control when the bomb would explode" i hear that part and think that it doesn't matter what he does to try and fix this problem he has, because he can't tell when he is going to become depressed (or explode) and if you are bi-polar, you cannot tell when your mood is going to change. secondly: "If this medication upsets your stomach Take it with crackers, bread, or a small meal We understand it won't do shit towards a cure But if you buy this, I promise you're gonna like the way it makes you feel" someone who is bi-polar is usually given lithium as a medication. but it has been proven that although it can stabilize your mood, it doesn't cure you of the disorder. and thus, it doesn't do shit for your overall problem, but it makes you feel good for a bit. i don't know if it's about suicide or not, but i do believe bi-polar disorder is a huge aspect of this song. |

| Frank Turner – My Kingdom For A Horse Lyrics | 17 years ago |
All the things I ever wanted, better than the powder and pills. Honey, you're all the things I ever needed, the only thing that doesn’t seem to kill, that still makes me smile. When you've been in this state, you know exactly how he felt. Best song on the album. So beautifully written. |

| Frank Turner – Photosynthesis Lyrics | 17 years ago |
FOR ALLYS2: i think it's actually: "if all you ever do in your life is photosyntheSIZE then you deserve every hour of those sleepless nights wondering when you're gonna die" and by that, i think he is saying that if all you're gonna do is get into a groove in life where it's the same thing every day for you (and you just get energy from the sun, maybe working a 9-5 job and don't really live a life outside of that endless cycle) then you don't really live. i'm drunk, hopefully that made sense. |

I love this song. I also love the irony that alot of people who are listening to this song, are the very same people he is singing about. |
| Death Cab for Cutie – Passenger Seat Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i do believe this is a love song, but i like what someone said earlier on. it could very well be from the perspective of a child driving with his mom. for example, i don't really think anyone would ask if shooting stars ever collided with satellites, except for a curious little child. also, the very last line could be his mother speaking to him, saying that she would never let him be embarassed or lost, because i think most mothers wouldn't want their child feeling those emotions. i like it. |

| Taking Back Sunday – Ghost Man on Third Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i never read the comments from pages like..2-10, but if it hasn't been said, i think some people may have misinterpreted something. "but whatever i have been getting myself into, maybe has been slicing inches off my waste" i think thats definitely a drug reference. if you ever witnessed it (first, or second hand) you'd know that. cocaine for example, makes you lose wait at an alarming pace. that whole verse is about the drugs and drinks, and i think the entire song probably goes along with that theme: dealing with depression through drugs and alcohol. |

| Paul Baribeau – Boys Like Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
ouch.. my life. |
| Bayside – I Can't Go On Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is one of the best songs on the new album for sure. and no comments? sad. i believe he says: "i left a note on your bed i don't recall what it said something like how i'm completely miserable and I'm better off dead" and also i believe it's "it's old and worn." not "old and bored." it's pretty obvious what it's about too, i think. at least what i get out of it is he's just getting hit by reality, and realizing that even though things seemed so good, eventually it's over and it's too hard to try when you know that. i think. |
