| Interpol – Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down Lyrics
| 21 years ago
|
This song is about drugs.
'the underground drip' --- Drip is slang for a couple different drugs.
'when she walks down the street, she knows theres people watching, the building blocks are just fronts, to hide the people watching' --- The paranoid delusions that can be induced by sleep deprivation and/or drug use.
She's an addict that does slutty things to get her fix |

This song can be related to many different things, most involving struggles. It definitely sounds like a rather good description of my crystal meth use.. |

"why do they have a tremendous following a thousands who see them as gods"
Any motherfucking simpleton can come about a "tremendous following" like this, given the right circumstances.. intelligence doesn't have a fucking thing to do with it.
Toolapc, you're one of the most ignorant people i've ever seen on this web site.. your posts are always the same, something along the lines of "your gay, im cool because I listen to this band."
The Sickness was definitely A LOT better then the Believe CD.. though I can definitely tolerate Believe.. it's not bad. David had to change his style of vocals, unless he wanted some fucked up vocal chords.. this explains why there is much more singing on Believe. |

I believe, David was trying to point out that many people that would be considered "enemies," really do not know much about the other.. nor really have a reason to be enemies.
I believe it is anti-war, as well, and i'll try to get into that some other time.. i've been up for far too many hours, and don't feel like getting into it right now. |

To be blunt, most of you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. Doppelganger was the closest, though, as far as the meaning of this song goes.. something i've spoke with David about on two different occasions. |

| Disturbed – Down with the Sickness Lyrics

It is amazing how many morons here can argue the same thing over and over again, even when there is proof from David himself that it is not about his mother.
I'm not going to get too in depth, because i've a feeling most of you are obstinate and close-minded.. but the sickness is masochism, it being a "sickness" due to common misconception and stereotypes regarding masochism, that many people have. |

| Marilyn Manson – The Speed Of Pain Lyrics

This song definitely has to do with meth. Cocaine wouldn't fit.. the high doesn't last nearly long enough to fit with the "times you hate it, it always seems to last," part of the song. It wouldn't be too much of a challenge to compare every verse to the drug, but i've been on a four day run right now.. and I am definitely not in the right state of mind. |

I am not sure if this has already been mentioned here, but this song, "The Reflecting God" was the one that influenced Kip Kinkler(sp), to set up bombs all over his house.. kill his parents, then go to his school and shootup some fellow students and teachers. I am sure Manson did not intend to have one of his songs interpreted in such a way, though. |

Disassociatives are drugs.. DXM, DXO, are good examples of these. The song title implies that it is about drugs, and from what i've seen of the lyrics.. a bad trip involving a disassociative. |

This song is about drug addiction, and influencing it upon another.. i'd get into a bit more detail, but i've been up for four days and it'd take too long :P. |
