| Lana Del Rey – Video Games Lyrics

I've always taken a positive view of this song. When I was younger my boyfriend used to work at sea for months at a time, and this song came along that reminded me of when he was at home, playing video games, spending time with friends, just hanging out and relaxing together. So it felt right that when we got married that this be our first dance. The chorus to me was all about offering yourself to another person unconditionally and in the case of the song, finding that there was love returned. It was perfect. |

| Idlewild – You Held The World In Your Arms Lyrics

For me this song is about moving on with the times, knnowing that you should adapt and move with change, but then "what if you held the world in your arms" would you still want to grow and change, at the risk of losing what you hold now?
Also perfectly sums up my last relationship. First love and then 3 years just disappeared on me. But I held the world in my arms, I didn't want to change, cause I knew that'd mean growing apart from him. |

| James Blunt – Goodbye My Lover Lyrics

I haven't heard this song in a while, but last night I heard it and it made me break down into floods of tears. I'm involved with someone with a serious mental illness and even though we're doing pretty well just now, that song just hit me so hard.
I hope I never have to say goodbye to him. |

| Idlewild – Let Me Sleep (Next To The Mirror) Lyrics

i agree that its being sung to someone really insecure, but i also think that the person singing is losing paitence and is getting quite irritated. "how would i know what you said?", "barricades" and "but it can't take ten more years" |

| Idlewild – I Never Wanted Lyrics

i agree with electricveil, its about someone who built himself up to be the person he thought he wanted to be, but when he reached it he realised that he didnt want to be that person at all "i created myself to be on my own but i didnt expect to be alone" and now on realising that, hes not sure what to do. he knows that waiting isnt going to let the other person know how he feels "days wont let you know / that all i never wanted..."etc |

| Idlewild – In Remote Part/Scottish Fiction Lyrics

this song is so lovely and when im in the right kind of mood it can near reduce me to tears, perhaps its cause im scottish... the second part of this "scottish fiction" is a poem by the scots poet laureate, Edwin Morgan. As a big fan of both Morgan and Idlewild, this is just brilliant. |
