Firefly - I think you're right about all of those, except for that last verse that you're confused about. I think that when he says he still holds her hand in his, I think that's a metaphor for remembering her and keeping her in his heart. He says that he will "bear his soul in time" when he's "kneeling at her feet". I think that she passed away and he's grieving for her. He says that his soul will mend given time when he's kneeling at her grave. (** ) |

I agree with musicispowerful (well...the explanation part). He's crazy about this girl and he can't have her. Because she's always wearing tube tops, he's more attracted to her. The song's not about hating tube tops. He actually loves them. But he's trying to get over this girl because he knows he can't have her and she's not letting him. =) I think it's cute. |
