According to "Reign In Blood" and "Show No Mercy", I nearly fell asleep while listening to that anyway great song. I didn't really engage in the lyrics, but just because of the priest (and "Slayer" in general) I thought of lyrics being written from the view of 'The Evil' and again a controverse 'bout christianity. |

In Flames never writes directly... So I would wonder if they realy had racist intentions by saying: "black and white, there is no room for two" ANd btw, though I'm not an old fan, I really adore this album, it has a new, but not pop-like sound. And I'm glad that you 'real' fans agree with me that it's not racist. I would wonder, because racism is only for the weak... and that would tear my sympathy for IF down. |

I fully agree, but also it teaches us again (yes, PW repeats in that album, but for a previously dedicated album, it's very good) the lesson to help your friends out and care for them. It also helped me in a much more harmless case. |

In case it was performed by PW: this kind of funpunk is not very typical for this political band. But then it's a song you get for free on their page... just like all the other covers. Appearently they think, as most fans would do, this is nothing to earn money with.
And if you wanted to interpret this song, you'd have to find out that it says: "enjoy your life, have no fear, try something out" that's what it would say and what many real PW songs say. |

What I love about Pennywise that their music really goes euphorically and their lyrics are easy to understand, directly written and approachable and partly, as to find in this case, realizeable for everyone. It gives the advice to each and every single person out there to live a life in which you can say at any time: I didn't was a god damn second (especially not by producing feels of guilty to a so called creator). |

"Full Circle" allmost exclusively deals with strong friendships and finding happiness. So does this song, and never forget: Give as much solidarity as possible to your friends. |

This is someone, probably Jason M. Thirsk, who refused to let his friend(s) help him solve his problems which rid him into suicide. A song we all can gather and advice of: Care about your friends and let them care about you.
Is there a better punk band than pennywise? Not for me, their text helped me several times (to get a little wiser). |

I really like "Reroute To Remain", especially the drums sound different and very well to me, thow this is a technical matter and quite shallow. I regret to say it's my favourite one. It has quite a straight sound, not as spongy as the earlier ones appear. |

I like the sound of the new album, especially this song. It motivates by saying 'move forward!' (though "In Flames" never made happy enough music to bring out this message authentically) but primarilly screams out pain, such as "The Quiet Place" does. I can't refuse to scream with him in the refrain... I adore this incredible singer. |

It's not very long ago that I got into "In Flames", but they became my favourite band and not at last by this in my opinion awesome song. Though I admit the disappointedness of some old fans, but anyway I actually also like the stuff on the new album, especially this song (and its video) which gives quite a feeling of screaming out all your anger as Mr. Fridén brings out very authentically (btw: I love this singing/growling style, can't imagine any better). I like it very much, but I can't judge it because I really ain't into 'em too long.
Anyway, if you don't compare it that directly to the band's former work, it kicks ass. |
