i am a christian and a huge slipknot fan but all my christian friends are fully against all slipknot (and basically all good music U2 is heavy for them) but no matter what you beleive you still hurt and struggle and feel alone its just how you deal with it that shows what type of person you are and i think for this band their way of dealing is music and to be able to show your soul to everyone is so brave especially when people criticise but they just don't care. |

i think he is showing the similarities in emotions betweeen himself and a stalker and how he would do anything to make her his but i also think its the aftermath of the intensity of the relationship in vermillion part 1 it is also for his wife who's name is scarlett (vermillion means deep red) |

yeah that is what a maggot joey started it because he thought mosh pits looked like a bowl of maggots wriggling around hehehe is but i don't think he was saying he wanted to kill his wife but he can understand how this guy felt, the murderer was really in love with a famous actress he was delusional and thought he was in a relationship with her and when he found out he wasn't he killed her i think corey is just showing how much he loves his wife that he couldn't function without her |

well yes it is meant for his wife but if you look past the title you will see references to murders by stalkers and i really don't think slipknot would do that by accident so please don't say that we don't know what we are talking about if you don't either if you watch the filmclip it will make heaps more sense xoxo |

excuse how can you even say that god doesn't love us he sent Jesus the one perfect human to die for us thats a huge amount of love. I am a christian and i think slipknot and Korn and SOAD are awesome so i don't think your whole christian stereotype is that accurate you are most probably too busy blaming everyone else for your mistakes to realise what you need to fix them anyway this song is awesome |

Sorry what i meant about religion was that they don't talk about religion directly but its almost as there is always that underlying feeling that something bigger isn't really helping and keeping them down which they always have to fight against, but going to a religous school may just have brain washed me into thinking every thing is religous. |

ok reading the last few comments shows me we have sorta missed the topic for a while (seems interesting though) i think this song also represents the whole life question like how do we know we are alive and not just making this whole thing up also think it relates back to religion where he is waiting and trying to go back to sleep so he can wake up and it be over but realising that that isn't going to happen (they may feel that god hasn't been there for them to wake them up) anyway go Jesus!! |
