My mistake: as near as I can tell, quam is the right word---it looks like quem is for masculine nouns like frater. This is why sleep is good, kids!

It seems to me that "the love I sell you in the evening" doesn't have a thing to do with dealing drugs, or any sort of monetary transaction.

Under the influence of a drug like cocaine, you'll tend to say some pretty crazy shit that you wouldn't necessarily say if you were sober; that is to say that, by morning, he won't love her [like he said he did the night before, "selling" her on the idea].

Does that make sense to anybody else?

It just occurred to me that ripping the epilogues out of all of the books might have something to do with being able to accept the endings as they are, without letting ourselves get hung up on useless details...

I'm probably off on a tangent, though. I do that a lot! lol...

I'm almost positive that the title is supposed to mean "The Girl That I Love Is Beautiful." Quam ought to read "quem," though, if I’m not mistaken—quem means "that" in the sense of whom, while quam means "as" or "than." Sometimes, it helps to be a dork...
