| The Mars Volta – Inertiatic ESP Lyrics | 21 years ago |

People who are confused should definately take their time to read the comments for "Son Et Lumiere" and/or do your research before you post meaningless comments on here. The album and the book that goes with it is about Julio. The book explains in greater detail what has happened. There are fictional fantasies in the book also, but the base is the truth, it tells about the coma state of Julio. The book and the album is also chronological, if you have read the book you would have seen the lyrics from the album inserted in there. The album and the book flow perfectly telling about the state of Julio as he enters the coma, and to the death of Julio. TMV, the album, and the book are masterpiece. Also to note, Cedric Bixler Zavala does not write the entire ablum or the book, most of the band has input on the lyrics and the music. |

| MisanthropeKitty is near 100% right, the last paragraph is a good observation, and a great assumption. I don't want to repeat what everyone said, but to shortly recap any false info; Julio does shoot up rat poison, he does jump off a bridge to commit suicide. Julio dies during the ATDI years, and ..de-loused in the comatorium..the book and the album is about Julio. | |
| Cursive – After the Movies Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I've been listening to Cursive for a long time. I've read about Tim. He is an amazing songwriter/singer. No offense to any of you and your wonderful input, but there is also the truth to the song. It is simple. Tim uses a lot of incredible metaphors and similies in his writing however this song is true to its text. He used to go to the movies a lot, still does. Its about how him and his lover used to go to the movies and its about one of those nights, now she isn't there and he misses her, simple. P.s.: If you listen (if not you should) to every Cursive song/album you'll see more reference to movies. |
